2026-2027 Grammy U Representative Program Application Deadline: 06/5/2026 Program Dates: 08/10/2026 – 05/7/2027 Compensation Pays county/state minimum wage rates based on work location. Who We’re Looking For A highly motivated college student familiar with Grammy U and its programs, engaged and active on campus. Must have a pulse on the music scene and awareness of local Grammy U member interests. Comfortable speaking in front of large groups and on camera, organized, and able to follow through on projects from beginning to end. Open to individuals enrolled in a 2‑ or 4‑year university with at least two semesters remaining before graduation, as well as graduate students. Must be a full‑time student pursuing a career in music and able to commit to a 20‑hour workweek. What You’ll Do The Grammy U Representative will work with the local Recording Academy Chapter, the Grammy U National Team, Community Advocates and Grammy U Ambassadors on student and non‑student membership recruitment and retention initiatives, as well as program development, marketing, and implementation. Duties and Responsibilities Develop membership recruitment/retention strategies to maintain a vital student membership base across local campuses and non‑student membership across local communities. Lead and supervise Grammy U Ambassadors by facilitating Ambassador meetings and initiatives. Organize, market, and execute approved local programs for Grammy U members, collaborating with local Chapter staff, the Grammy U National Team, Ambassadors, and all members. Serve as an advocate for the Recording Academy, disseminating important information and announcements via social media. Advocate for member and campus/community needs, ensuring the Academy is responsive to the next generation of membership. Participate in a public‑facing role, frequently on camera or on highly visible platforms such as Grammy U social accounts and Grammy.com. Attend the local Chapter’s monthly Board Meeting to provide updates on Grammy U and share insights on topics important to all members. Skills & Experience Current Grammy U member with previous experience attending or volunteering at Grammy U programs. Strong public speaking, writing, and communication skills for presentations, public speaking, and on‑camera appearances. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Attention to detail, strong organizational, time‑management, and follow‑up skills. Ability to lead peers and organize volunteer efforts. Dedication to a 20‑hour workweek, with occasional nights and weekend hours depending on events. Proficiency in one or more of the following is a plus: writing (newspaper, editorial, features); social media (Instagram, TikTok, photo/video editing); video/photo editing/design (Adobe suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, Canva); event production and execution; multilingual communication. Strong grammatical, punctuation, and basic mathematical skills. Physical Demands Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time, work at a computer for long periods, and lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
