Horne Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function while partnering with leadership to strengthen employee engagement, develop managers, improve hiring, and support a positive workplace culture. Family-owned company serving Charlotte for more than 40 years Stable, year-round employment Collaborative leadership team Opportunity to influence company culture Professional development opportunities Quarterly company events and employee appreciation activities Long-term career growth Compensation and Benefits $60,000-$70,000 annual base salary Medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance Paid holidays Birthday paid day off Paid time off 401(k) with company match Ongoing professional development What You'll Do Lead employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance Coach managers on employee development, accountability, and workplace issues Oversee recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding Administer employee benefits and serve as the primary employee resource Manage HR reporting and employee records through Paylocity Conduct annual employee check-ins to support engagement and retention Train leaders on effective interviewing and hiring practices Coordinate quarterly employee events and community outreach initiatives Build relationships with local trade schools to support recruiting efforts Participate in occasional technician ride-alongs to better understand field operations What We're Looking For Five or more years of Human Resources management experience Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Experience coaching managers and handling employee relations Experience administering employee benefits Paylocity experience preferred Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust across the organization SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus Experience in HVAC, construction, plumbing, or another skilled trades industry is preferred About Horne Heating and Air Conditioning Since 1983, Horne Heating and Air Conditioning has proudly served homeowners throughout the Charlotte area by delivering dependable HVAC services backed by exceptional customer care.
