HR Generalist

Palms Home Care The Palms Home Care is seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused HR Generalist to join our team in our Tampa office. This position will support day-to-day Human Resources functions with a strong focus on new hire on boarding, employee documentation, compliance, and general HR administrative support . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate professionally with employees and candidates throughout the on boarding and employment process. Previous home health or healthcare experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and assist with the new hire on boarding process from offer acceptance through completion Collect, review, and maintain new hire documentation and personnel files Assist with background screenings, credentialing, employment verification, and other pre-employment requirements Ensure employee records and required documentation are complete, accurate, and up to date Support HR with compliance tracking, employee file audits, and documentation Assist employees with general HR and on boarding questions Communicate with new hires regarding outstanding documents and on boarding requirements Assist with data entry and updates within HR and onboarding systems Support additional HR projects and administrative functions as needed Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times Partner with HR, Recruitment, and branch leadership to help ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees Qualifications Previous administrative, Human Resources, onboarding, or healthcare office experience required Home health or healthcare experience is a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up on time-sensitive items Comfortable working with computer systems, email, Microsoft Office, and electronic records Professional, dependable, and able to handle confidential information appropriately Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team Position Details This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, in-office position located in Tampa, Florida with the potential to transition to a hybrid/remote work schedule after 3-6 months , based on performance, training completion, and business needs. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, stays organized, and takes pride in creating a smooth and welcoming on boarding experience for new team members.
