Talent Acquisition Specialist

Primary Duties

• Participates in the development and implementation of effective recruiting and staffing strategies. Collaborates with management to build hiring and/or enhance the overall selection and hiring process.
• Networks with educational institutions, placement firms, community referral agencies, professional associations, and other sources in order to target and attract high-potential applicants.
• Assists with the development of recruiting collateral in order to build employer brand recognition.
• Implements enhancements to staffing systems and work processes. Assists with the design and development of employment-related metrics, data queries, and enterprise reports. Compiles data for ad-hoc information requests.
• Provides assistance and support to all organizational levels with the interpretation and application of employment-related policies and procedures.
• Delivers employment-related communications, presentations and associated training to supervisors/managers and employees.
• Supports the development of various regulatory reports to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment. Assists with the completion of company responses to regulatory agencies for compliance reporting.
• Keeps abreast of changes in Human Resources-related regulations and trends. Makes recommendations to management accordingly.

Minimum Requirements

• Educational/Experience Level: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and two years of related experience in talent acquisition; or a general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and four years of related experience in talent acquisition.
• Communication Skills: Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical and other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the subject under discussion.
• Numeric Skills: Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
• Computer Skills: Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and/or graphics.
• Physical Demands: Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
• Work Conditions: Works in an office environment.
