What Awaits You

• Performing thorough assessments of patients, prescribing diagnostic tests, and creating personalized treatment strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently (per your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and families concerning wellness, disease prevention, and management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope
• Engaging in follow-ups and chronic care management with patients
• Working with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, holistic patient care
• Accurately documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)

Required Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Colorado
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or alternative certification)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
