Position Overview:
Starian Fabrication is seeking a reliable and motivated Entry / Mid-Level Fabricator to join our shop team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in fabrication, carpentry, woodworking, countertop manufacturing, or a similar trade who wants to continue developing their skills.
The Fabricator will work primarily with solid surface materials to produce countertops, vanity tops, commercial components, and custom fabricated pieces. We are willing to train the right person, but candidates should be mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools, and capable of producing accurate, clean work.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate solid surface countertops, vanity tops, and custom components.
- Cut, assemble, glue, sand, and finish fabricated pieces.
- Build standard edges, stacked edges, drop edges, and other countertop details.
- Use routers, orbital sanders, saws, drills, and other common fabrication tools.
- Read basic shop drawings, dimensions, and fabrication information.
- Measure accurately and consistently using tape measures and other measuring tools.
- Prepare components for CNC machining, assembly, finishing, and installation.
- Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and finish quality.
- Assist with material handling, loading, unloading, and organization.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow established shop procedures and safety standards.
- Communicate questions, discrepancies, or potential problems before fabrication proceeds.
- Assist senior fabricators and other shop personnel as required.
