Senior Tax ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our growing tax practice. This role is ideal for a highly skilled tax professional with a strong public accounting background who enjoys serving as a trusted advisor to clients, managing complex tax engagements, and mentoring high-performing teams.The Senior Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance, planning, and consulting engagements for a diverse client base while providing technical leadership and ensuring the highest standards of quality and client service.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and oversee the preparation of complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other business entities.Manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.Conduct technical tax research and provide guidance on complex tax matters.Develop and implement tax planning strategies to help clients achieve their financial and business objectives.Review tax projections and identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.Serve as a primary advisor and point of contact for clients, addressing tax questions and resolving issues effectively.Provide proactive guidance on changing tax regulations and their impact on clients.Review work prepared by tax staff and managers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members to support their professional growth and career advancement.Collaborate with firm leadership to strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for additional advisory services.Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the tax practice.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA designation strongly preferred; may be required depending on experience level.8+ years of progressive tax experience within public accounting.Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.Proven ability to manage complex tax engagements and client relationships.Strong experience reviewing tax returns and supervising the work of others.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred ExperiencePublic accounting experience with responsibility for overseeing client engagements.Experience providing strategic tax planning and advisory services.Strong client-facing skills and a consultative approach to relationship management.Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses is a plus.Prior experience as a Tax Manager, Senior Tax Manager, Tax Director, or similar leadership role.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary ranging from $130,000 - $160,000, depending on experience.Overtime opportunities during peak tax season.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.Collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.This is a Permanent position based out of Ramsey, NJ.
