Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations and crisis interventions to accurately assess patient needs.

• Coordinating patient care plans and facilitating seamless transitions for individuals to appropriate mental health resources.

• Completing required statistical reports to help track patient progress and organizational effectiveness.

• Collaborating with the Department of Correction to address patient access, treatment disposition, and housing needs.

• Coordinating care with other Institutional programs to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
\n
• Leading group therapy sessions for patients on observation units, enhancing their overall treatment experience.

• Maintaining meticulous documentation pertaining to patient interactions and treatment plans.
\n
• Engaging in weekly clinical supervision sessions with a Clinical Supervisor to continually enhance therapeutic skills.

• Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and case conferences to contribute valuable insights into treatment planning.
\n
• Administering psychological testing as assigned to support further diagnosis and treatment planning.
\n
• Supervising social work interns or student volunteers when opportunities arise, fostering the next generation of mental health professionals.

Qualifications\n
