We are working with a well-regarded Hartford law firm seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its established and growing litigation practice in Hartford .

The firm represents institutional, governmental, and private business clients throughout Connecticut and nationally across a broad range of industries.

The litigation group handles all phases of complex disputes, including pre-litigation strategy, motion practice, trial and appellate work, arbitration, and mediation proceedings. Attorneys in the group regularly appear in Connecticut state and federal courts and frequently work on matters involving clients with regional and national operations.

Representative matters include:

• Commercial and business disputes
• Real estate litigation
• Creditors' rights and bankruptcy litigation
• Employment counseling and litigation
• Municipal law matters
• Environmental litigation
• Probate and fiduciary disputes

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 4 years of commercial litigation experience
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience independently handling sophisticated litigation matters
• Deposition, motion practice, and client interaction experience
• Connecticut bar admission

This opportunity is particularly well suited for an attorney who is interested in sitting second chair on larger, more complex matters while also taking the lead on smaller litigation matters with an appropriate degree of independence and client responsibility.
