Sheriff's Radiologic Technologist I / Trainee*

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is recruiting for Radiologic Technologists who perform radiographic procedures using x‑rays to produce diagnostic images of various parts of the body. Radiologic Technologists move and position patients, conduct radiographic examinations, and instruct and direct trainees and students in the proper use of equipment and procedures within a locked detention facility. Vacancy is located in Victorville. Responsibilities Perform radiographic procedures using x‑rays to produce diagnostic images. Move and position patients for examinations. Instruct and direct trainees and students in the use of equipment, proper techniques, and procedures. Licensing, Certifications, and Requirements State of California Department of Public Health Radiologic Technologist certification. Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Health Association. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Must obtain a State Fluoroscopic (Fluro) license within six months of hire. Background investigation, physical exam, verification of employment history and education. Applicants requiring visa sponsorship will not be considered. Required Experience Radiologic Technologist Trainee – no experience required. Radiologic Technologist – at least two (2) years of experience in a medical institution as a registered x‑ray technologist. Conditions of Employment Applicants must pass a background investigation, physical exam, and verification of employment history and education. Licensure and certification must be maintained in accordance with state regulations.
