About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS Must-Have: Will need to pass EKG exam. Experience with the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is required. Acute medicine experience preferred. Description: This is a 12-week assignment with the option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week. The start date is approximately 3-4 weeks out based on compliance requirements. Ratios on the unit are 1:6. First-time travelers are welcome. Weekend work is required every other weekend. No on-call requirements for this position. The clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility. Pending licenses are accepted. Requests for time off should not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract. Special requirements include experience with acute medicine, including conditions such as diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule outs, and cancer patients not currently receiving chemotherapy. This unit does not care for surgical patients. Bedside procedures may include thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertion, and simple suture or debridement. All travelers will float within the service line as needed. Compliance deadlines must be adhered to. No time off is allowed during the first week of the assignment. Proper fit testing for N95 masks is required for all travelers. Travelers must complete all compliance requirements within the specified time frame to avoid delays. Certifications are required for compliance purposes. Modules must be completed prior to starting the assignment.
