Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients and visitors while providing outstanding customer service
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Complete patient registration, demographic updates, and required documentation
- Verify insurance eligibility for Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial plans
- Confirm primary and secondary insurance coverage and maintain accurate payer information
- Collect co-pays, self-pay amounts, co-insurance, and other patient payments
- Schedule appointments and maintain provider calendars
- Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions and concerns
- Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the EMR system

Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience
- Minimum 1 year of insurance eligibility and verification experience
- Experience with patient registration and appointment scheduling
- Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial insurance plans

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
