Medical Director, Medical Affairs, Gastroenterology

We are seeking a Medical Director, Medical Affairs to join our Gastroenterology and Immunology team, supporting our US medical strategy across sites in Sleepy Hollow, NY, Warren, NJ, or Cambridge, MA. In this role, you will help shape and execute medical strategy for a key asset, oversee generation and dissemination of high-quality scientific data, and ensure medical activities are delivered with integrity and scientific rigor, while collaborating with field medical, medical operations, R&D, commercial, access & reimbursement, patient advocacy, and external clinical experts.

When & where:

• Location: Sleepy Hollow, NY (preferred) or Warren, NJ or Cambridge, MA
• Travel percentage: 30% U.S. travel, with occasional global travel

Discover your role:

• Develop and oversee US medical strategy and tactics for a key asset, including publications, field communications, and expert collaborations
• Apply deep therapeutic expertise to address current and future medical needs in clinical practice
• Lead generation and dissemination of clinical and non-clinical data supporting the medical strategy
• Partner across a cross-functional Medical Product Team, R&D, commercial, and access & reimbursement to drive alignment
• Cultivate long-term strategic relationships with clinical experts, societies, advocacy groups, and alliance partners
• Co-lead formation and execution of Phase 3b/4 plans where applicable
• Champion high standards of compliance, ethics, and patient safety across all medical activities
• Oversee medical review of promotional materials and training content for scientific accuracy

This role requires:

• Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent)
• Relevant residency or fellowship training in gastroenterology or allergy/immunology preferred
• 8+ years of relevant medical/scientific experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical and business discussions with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver succinct, strategic insight to senior management
• Thorough understanding of the healthcare environment and its external stakeholders
