Dental Receptionist - Milltown, NJ | Established Family Dental Practice
Lynn Family Dentistry, a long-standing general dental practice serving Milltown, East
Brunswick, North Brunswick, and the surrounding Middlesex County area, is seeking an
experienced Dental Receptionist to join our front office team. Founded in 1956, our
practice has earned a reputation for personalized, relationship-driven care across three
generations of patients.
About the Role
The Dental Receptionist is the first point of contact for every patient who calls or walks
into our office. This role is central to the practice’s daily operations by managing the
schedule, coordinating insurance, supporting the clinical team, and ensuring every
patient feels welcome and informed.
Key Responsibilities
 Greet patients in person and manage all inbound phone calls professionally
 Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix Ascend
 Verify insurance benefits, submit, and follow up on claims
 Process patient payments, post insurance receipts, and reconcile daily ledgers
 Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation in Dentrix Ascend
 Coordinate with dental supply vendors and manage front office inventory
 Support general office operations: filing, scanning, mail, and correspondence
Required Qualifications
 Minimum 2 years experience in a medical or healthcare office setting
 Strong communication skills, in person and by phone
 High level of organization, time management, and multitasking ability
 Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
 High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
 Prior experience in a dental practice
 Working knowledge of Dentrix Ascend or comparable dental practice
management software

 Dental insurance verification and claims experience
 Familiarity with CDT coding and dental billing workflows
Compensation
 $18–$20 per hour, based on experience
 Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and employee dental discount
Schedule
 Monday: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
 Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 6:30 PM
 Wednesday: Off
 Thursday: 11:00 AM – 6:30 PM
 Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
 Saturday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (every other week)
