Responsibilities Job Summary Acts as first point of contact to all customers. Organizes and facilitates clerical administrative duties of department. Performs a variety of cross-functional clerical and patient support duties to include telephone, registration, scheduling and data entry duties as they relate to department. Responsible for patient chart maintenance and communication with physicians' offices as needed and requested. Duties may vary depending on departmental needs. Essential Functions Customer Interaction : Contacts, greets, and communicates with customers. Answers telephone calls and retrieves voicemail messages. Directs all information to the appropriate individual and orients patients to the department with directions and instructions. Imaging Support (if applicable) : Receives and transfers incoming calls; generates reports and retrieves images from the PACS system; assists in maintaining efficient patient workflow; maintains all records and ensures dissemination of files to designated/requesting parties; ensures patients are appropriately prepared for their exam; transports patients when necessary; assists Supervisor, Radiologist and/or Technologists within scope of the position as directed. Scheduling : Performs a variety of scheduling for procedures, including initial and follow‑up appointments. Tracks no‑shows, documents in the appropriate system, and communicates with physicians if applicable. Provides schedules in directed format to staff as needed. Registration : Performs a variety of registration duties, such as providing patients with initial registration information, creating and/or choosing an appropriate electronic record, gathering signatures (electronic or otherwise), coordinating medical authorization/referral, and managing financial responsibility. Completes daily data entry and scanning of patient registration information. Insurance Authorization : Obtains authorization from insurance companies as applicable. Collects co‑pays and payments required for procedures, and submits daily deposits and/or billing as applicable. HIPAA Compliance : Completes patient chart process and maintains records with appropriate information. Communicates with applicable insurance carriers and hospital billing for authorization updates. Ensures that appropriate chart information is forwarded to medical records. Email and Documentation : Views email on a daily basis and provides supervisor with appropriate information and memorandums. Inventory Management : Maintains inventory of office supplies/forms and places orders as required. Other Duties : Performs other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma or GED - Required Experience

1. year in healthcare‑related field and knowledge of medical terminology, or experience in scheduling and/or registration in a healthcare setting. - Preferred
2. years in healthcare‑related experience, including scheduling and registration experience, or Patient Access, Outpatient Medical Imaging, Medical scheduling or closely related experience. - Preferred

Licenses and Certifications Fingerprint Clearance Card - State.
