Primary City/State: Medical Office Building - 20330 N Cave Creek Rd Phoenix, AZ 85024 Category: Patient Services Shift: Day Department: Primary Care-Cave Creek Hours: 8:15am–5:15pm, Monday–Friday Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for all customers. Organize and facilitate department clerical administrative duties. Perform cross‑functional clerical and patient support duties, including telephone, registration, scheduling, and data entry as they relate to the department. Maintain patient charts and communicate with physicians’ offices as needed. Respond to telephone calls and voicemail, directing information to appropriate individuals. Orient patients to the department with directions and instructions. Assist with imaging support duties: receive and transfer calls, generate reports, retrieve images from PACS, assist in maintaining efficient patient workflow, maintain and disseminate records, ensure patients are prepared for exams, transport patients when necessary. Support the supervisor, radiologist, and/or technologists within scope of this position as directed. Schedule procedures, including initial and follow‑up appointments, track no‑shows and document in the system, and communicate with physicians when applicable. Perform registration duties: provide initial registration information, create or select electronic records, obtain signatures (electronic or otherwise), coordinate medical authorizations/referrals and financial responsibility, enter daily data, scan registration information, obtain insurance authorization, collect co‑pays, submit daily deposits and billing, maintain HIPAA compliance and chart processing, communicate with insurance carriers, hospital billing for authorizations and updates, forward chart information to medical records as required. View daily email and provide supervisor with appropriate information and memorandums. Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed. Education High School Diploma or GED – Required Experience Required: 1 year in a healthcare related field and knowledge of medical terminology, or experience in scheduling and/or registration in a healthcare setting. Preferred: 2 years in healthcare related experience, including scheduling and registration experience, or Patient Access, Outpatient Medical Imaging, Medical scheduling or closely related experience.
