Opportunity Overview Dessert Holdings is looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our growing team at the HQ office in St. Paul, MN. We're looking for an eager Accounting professional who will help drive operational excellence and act as an advocate for continued business performance and growth. This is not a remote position - we work onsite in the St. Paul office 4 days a week. The typical hiring range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 annually and is based on several factors such as education, work experience, skills, certifications, location, etc. In addition to pay, Dessert Holdings offers benefits such as a choice of comprehensive medical plans, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement contribution to all eligible employees. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing the month-end financial close activities including preparing necessary journal entries, and ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are completed each month Perform cash management related tasks, reconciliations, and reporting Responsible for fixed asset accounting including the recording of newly acquired fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures Coordinate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and support, ensuring timely completion of audit requests Participate in the implementation or modifications of company systems (ERP, HRIS, etc.) to ensure appropriate financial integrity, controls, and audit trails exist for transactions impacting financial results Support business partners with meaningful financial accounting and reporting information to drive growth and profit improvement Completion of special projects, as requested Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 3+ years of relative accounting and financial analytical experience/Consumer Packaged Goods experience a plus Strong working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups and charts Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision Agility in learning new software; Ability to simultaneously manage multiple systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus Superior analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines High level of flexibility in dynamic, fast paced environment Dessert Holdings is North America's fastest-growing premium dessert company, recognized for providing retail and foodservice customers with chef-inspired, innovative desserts made with real ingredients, a flexible and low-cost supply chain, and best-in-class service.
