ASSOCIATE LEAD — Future Front of House Lead

A training and development position for a strong Front of House team member who demonstrates leadership, reliability, initiative, and a desire to grow with Little Flower Café.

The Associate Lead will perform all Front of House responsibilities while beginning to take on additional leadership responsibilities. This position is designed to provide training in preparation for stepping into the Front of House Lead role.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Front of House Lead and General Manager during daily shifts.
• Perform all Front of House Team Member responsibilities to a high standard.
• Take initiative and help keep the FOH running smoothly during daily shifts.
• Assist with directing and supporting team members when appropriate.
• Learn Little Flower’s service, opening, closing, cleanliness, and operational standards.
• Help ensure stations and responsibilities are completed throughout the shift.
• Communicate issues, customer concerns, and operational needs to the Front of House Lead or Manager.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Minimum of 6 months of leadership experience in a cafe/restaurant environment.
• Computer literate, including Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.
• Demonstrates consistency, accountability and reliability.
• Has strong communication skills and communicates clearly and professionally with clients, both in person, over the phone and via email
• Works well with a team.
• Handles busy shifts calmly and professionally.
• Cares about the customer experience.
• Is willing to learn and accept feedback.
• Is interested in taking on additional responsibility.
• Has the potential and desire to become a Front of House Lead.

The Associate Lead role is earned through demonstrated performance, reliability, leadership, and commitment to the team. 

Other Qualifications Needed

• Ability to stand stationary for extended periods of time.
• Regularly lifts, lowers, carries, and moves items (such as trays of food, bus tubs, dish racks, crate deliveries, or ice buckets, etc.) weighing up to 30 lbs
