NCLEX Instructor - Columbus, OH (On‑Site) Overview Kaplan North America is looking for experienced nurses to teach the NCLEX exam. The role is a seasonal class‑based teaching position with optional virtual coaching. Key Responsibilities Maintain high energy level and ability to engage students to ensure an excellent student experience. Effectively facilitate learning and learner development. Learn Kaplan’s methodology and strategies quickly. Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management. Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops and ongoing instructional meetings as required. Provide individualized guidance as a KLIC Coach via email (separate but related role). Academic and Clinical Qualifications MSN or BSN with Masters required. Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse. 5+ years clinical nursing experience required. Previous teaching/training experience is preferred. Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership skills. Weekday availability required. Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly teaching rates between $50‑$55/hour. Hourly coaching rate $35/hour. Paid training and preparation time. Pay increases. Established curriculum. Seasonal position based on nursing school graduation dates and testing cycles. Free/discounted Kaplan courses for qualifying employees or their families under the Gift of Knowledge Program.
