Locum Physician Cardiothoracic Surgery
Position Type: Locum
Specialty: Physician Cardiothoracic Surgery
Location: Paducah, KY
Shift: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
Position Details: Hospital-based cardiac surgery coverage. Candidates must be available for one of the following date ranges: 12 28 or 12 04. Heavy cardiac focus required; thoracic preferred but not required. Average 1 2 CT surgical cases per day.
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
Setting: Hospital Based
Responsibilities: Adult cardiac surgery including CABG and heart valve repair/replacement surgery; general thoracic surgery including tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS decortication/lung biopsy, and pericardial window; ICU management of high-risk cases including Impella insertion/removal/bailout and medical management of critically ill patients; structural heart procedure support in the Hybrid OR/Cath Lab.
Required Procedures: CABG, heart valve repair/replacement, tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS decortication/lung biopsy, pericardial window, Impella insertion/removal/bailout, structural heart support.
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: First Assist with Endoscopic Saphenous Vein Harvest experience, focused anesthesia team dedicated to CT surgery, collaborative and helpful ICU
Days Per Month: 4 7 shifts per month
On-Call/Weekends: Yes; 24-hour call, 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
Submission Requirements:

Board Certified Required
BLS Certified Required
KY License Preferred; willing to accept candidates needing to obtain a license
