Job Overview Registered Sonographer (Vascular) – weekend (Full time, weekends only: Saturday and Sunday, and either Monday or Friday; 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., rotating on‑call). Employment Status: Full time. Shift: Weekends only (United States of America). Facility: 1906 Belleview Ave SE – Roanoke CP01 Carilion Medical Center. Requisition Number: R159906. How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: Up to $30,000 new hire sign‑on bonus and up to $7,000 in relocation assistance are available. Responsibilities Demonstrate proficiency with skills and knowledge to perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations, assess technical data and provide preliminary results, and assist in the interpretation of exams. Examination types include: visceral arterial/venous; cerebrovascular – including TCDI; peripheral venous; peripheral arterial; vascular surgery OR procedures – pre, intra, and post‑operative evaluations. Apply knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients served. Operate highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images according to ACR standards. Process patients, which may include scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing skills. Evaluate, position and observe patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety. Comply with all CHS and Imaging policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. Participate in the training of students and staff as assigned. Maintain ARDMS registry by obtaining required CEUs bi‑annually and enhance personal and professional growth through participation in educational opportunities. Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved school of ultrasound or equivalent training. Experience: None required (vascular ultrasound experience preferred but not required). Licensure, certification, and/or registration: RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in vascular sonography; ARDMS or CCI. CPR certification required. Candidates may also hold an ARRT registry/ARDMS registry for other areas as required by the department. AHA BLS‑HCP required.
