Bartender Position at Fairmount Park Casino & Racing

Join the Food and Beverage Team at Fairmount Park Casino & Racing! The Role: As a Bartender, you will be mixing and serving beverages for customers according to established guest service standards. The Responsibilities:

1. Taking drink and/or food orders from customers or beverage servers
2. Collecting payment and follows cash handling procedures
3. Ordering or requisitions liquors and supplies
4. Washing glasses
5. Maintaining clean and sanitary bar area
6. Monitoring guest alcohol consumption and acts according to established alcohol awareness program guidelines
7. Resolving guest complaints
8. Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times
9. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
• Must have six months or more related experience
• Must have alcohol certification
• Must have knowledge of beverage order processing systems
• Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk
• Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds
• Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel
• Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor.
• The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.

Compensation:

• $15.00/hr plus tips
