Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW at Sixth Sense Counseling Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-on-one psychotherapy to students experiencing mental health challenges related to substance abuse issues.

• Conducting thorough assessments and crafting effective treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique circumstances.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate recovery and coping skills development.

• Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical records in line with HIPAA regulations and our organization’s policies.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for students.

• Educating students and their families on mental health and substance abuse resources, empowering them with knowledge and support.
\n
• Remaining current with the latest research in mental health and integrating this knowledge into your practice.

• Effectively managing your caseload while meeting treatment goals and maintaining the highest ethical standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of students facing various challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse issues. Your focus will be on providing compassionate care that addresses both the psychological and social factors impacting their lives, helping them build the resilience they need to succeed academically and personally.

Qualifications\n

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia.
