Location: Charlotte, NC 28216
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $19.00-$21.00/hour, depending on experience

Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of convertible tops, vinyl tops, and accessories serving specialty trim shops and distributors around the globe.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Specialist to support daily warehouse operations. This position will be responsible for shipping and receiving products, materials, and supplies; maintaining accurate records; assisting with inventory; and supporting overall warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing customer orders and materials
• Receive incoming packages, supplies, freight, and materials
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against orders, packing slips, invoices, and other documentation
• Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues as needed
• Enter shipping, receiving, and inventory information accurately into the computer system
• Prepare and maintain shipping records, labels, bills of lading, and other required paperwork
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, vendors, and internal departments to support timely deliveries and shipments
• Move, organize, stock, and stage materials throughout the warehouse
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts
• Maintain accurate inventory levels
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping, receiving, and warehouse area
• Follow all company safety procedures and policies

Qualifications

• Good work history with a demonstrated record of dependability
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Ability to accurately enter information and maintain records
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professional communication skills when interacting with carriers, vendors, drivers, and coworkers
• Dependable and punctual
• Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Must follow company safety procedures
• Forklift certified
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
