Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial patient assessments, taking comprehensive histories and performing physical examinations.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans while ensuring timely follow-up and patient preparation for screenings and assessments.
• Perform daily patient rounds, providing continuous monitoring and timely interventions as required.
• Write and manage orders for medications, laboratory tests, and diagnostic evaluations, ensuring all clinical decisions are documented appropriately.
• Analyze laboratory results, providing insights and recommendations that facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary team members to maintain high standards of patient care, discussing complex cases and treatment adjustments as needed.
• Prepare and document discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals, ensuring patients understand their post-discharge care requirements.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned, ensuring all responsibilities are aligned with maintaining the quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will primarily focus on women’s health, treating patients across various demographics, from adolescents to older women undergoing menopause and beyond. The nurse practitioner will work with patients requiring routine care and those with complex health issues, including reproductive health concerns, chronic illnesses, and preventive care, thereby making a significant impact on their health journey.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure and Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the state of Texas.
• National Board Certification in a specialty area related to women’s health is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on women's health preferred.
• Familiarity with advanced healthcare technologies and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits
