Scheduling Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities: Understanding of scheduling system and shift management, aligning staff to support hours via scheduling. Meets with HR designee, Administrator, and DON to review previous, current and future staffing pattern status; in addition, reviews staffing requirements and staffing/hiring needs. Develops, implements, and coordinates the day-to-day scheduling and assignments of nursing staff consistent with PPD management and minimum staffing requirements. Attends and participates in in-service training, performance improvement ("QPI") committees and other meetings as scheduled and directed. May maintain inventory and issue uniforms to newly hired employees, as assigned. May maintain records of all in-servicing for all staff, partnering with HR designees and training department to schedule required training. Monitors labor hours to ensure scheduled hours don't exceed budgeted work hours. Tracks absences and reason for absences for purposes of infection control, maintaining confidentiality. May maintain inventory of supplies, submit orders, and process invoices, depending on facility's needs. All other duties, as assigned. Scheduling Coordinator Skills and Abilities: Ongoing and in-depth understanding of the financial modules used to support processes and patient care Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to perform the tasks required. Sufficient computer and budgeting skills required to perform duties. Scheduling Coordinator Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. +1 year of Point Click Care (PCC) Experience, preferred. Bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferred. Prior experience working with the elderly and / or in long term care, preferred. Physical Requirements: Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required. Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards. Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required.
