The ideal candidate will be passionate about educating and impacting the lives of students, create a positive and engaging learning environment, and prioritize the growth and achievement of students. The Elementary Teacher position will report directly to RAMA’s Principal, Director of Curriculum, and Lead Teacher. This position is full-time (45 hours per week), and requires presence at RAMA Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Reaching All Minds Academy is a charter school in Durham County with the mission to prepare students to become productive citizens with the skills needed to solve complex problems, think critically, exhibit positive social competencies, and function in a highly technological and global society. Core Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons based upon schoolwide curriculums. Evaluate and collect student academic and behavior data. Communicate and inspect high academic and personal expectations. Facilitate small group instruction. Provide differentiated learning activities. Be intentional in providing learning activities that address multiple learning styles. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Participate in grade-level and school-wide meetings, activities, and functions. Perform non-instructional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Valid NC Teaching License. 3+ years of experience teaching Elementary School, primarily in grades 3-5. Passion for working with low-income and at-risk students. Self-motivated. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team. Experience working with targeted literacy instruction. Experience with STEM instruction and Project Based Learning.
