In this position:

\n

As a Customer Sales Representative at Avenue Logistics, you will play a vital role in our success story. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining long-lasting relationships with reliable customers, securing capacity, negotiating rates, and tracking freight to provide the best service to our customers. We offer a comprehensive training program, including traditional classroom training and hands-on mentorship, to ensure you're set up for success. You'll also focus on the fast-paced brokerage aspect of our business, utilizing our in-house CRM and proprietary software to help customers move their inventory in the most cost-effective way by identifying and providing logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Act as the intermediary between shippers and transportation companies, ensuring seamless material delivery from A to B
\n
• Seek new customers, partners, and vendors to expand Avenue’s customer network
\n
• Continuously build and expand their book of business by adding new leads
\n
• Develop, maintain, and manage carrier relationships through strong communication skills and exceptional customer service
\n
• Competitively negotiate rates with customers based on market trends
\n
• Drive new account growth via prospecting, sourcing, and account development
\n
• Collaborate with carrier partners and shippers to continually seek new solutions and opportunities for their business
\n
• Improve the quality of our transportation partners and shipper base
\n

\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• 5+ years experience at a 3PL in a sales-focused role; previous experience at a top ten freight brokerage is highly encouraged to apply
\n
• Motivation to earn a substantial income through a commission-driven compensation plan
\n
• Experience developing, maintaining, and servicing your own customer accounts while growing existing accounts
\n
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems under pressure as our industry can be time sensitive and heavily impacted by outside factors i.e. bad weather, traffic delays, and tight delivery deadlines
\n
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities
\n
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
\n
• Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
\n
• Competitive and intrinsically motivated mentality
\n
• Motivated by money and driven by numbers
\n
• Ability to be personable, persistent, and assertive on all calls

• Self-motivated, ability to manage own time, organizational skills

Annual Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 plus Uncapped Commission. Base salary is determined by industry experience.
