Senior System Administrator

Sterling Search Partners is helping a growing client with its search for a SR Systems Administrator. Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Administratorto support and evolve enterprise IT infrastructure across IT and OT environments. This role will lead the design, implementation, and management of on-premises, hosted, and cloud systems, ensuring secure, reliable operations across a geographically distributed footprint. The ideal candidate is adaptable, technically strong, and experienced in fast-paced, evolving environments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure including servers, virtualization, identity, and cloud platforms Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues, driving troubleshooting and root cause analysis Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity services Administer Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, storage, identity, and security) Implement and maintain endpoint management and security policies via Intune Support SSO and identity federation (SAML and third‑party integrations) Manage virtualization environments (primarily Hyper‑V), backup, and disaster recovery systems Partner with network and cybersecurity teams to maintain secure, compliant environments Lead infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and M&A system integrations Maintain system hardening, patching, monitoring, and compliance standards Support OT infrastructure in collaboration with engineering and operations teams Develop technical documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery plans Provide on‑call support and mentor junior IT staff Qualifications 4-8 years of experience in system administration Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and core infrastructure services Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, etc.) Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V preferred) Knowledge of SSO, identity federation, and security best practices Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
