Facilities Coordinator

Description Job Summary: The Facilities Coordinator oversees the overall maintenance, safety, cleanliness and operational readiness of the Co-op's building and equipment. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise Maintenance department staff including staff training, coaching and performance reviews. Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility to monitor the store's cleanliness, functionality and maintenance needs. Assess any repair or maintenance issues to determine if they can be resolved in-house or if a service vendor needs to be called in. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and service. Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements. Monitor store conditions, equipment functionality, and maintenance needs. Oversee supply ordering according to store's needs and budget. Work with GM to create cleaning and maintenance policies and procedures for the store. Upkeep maintenance, repair and cleaning logs. Respond to urgent maintenance calls and alarms outside of scheduled hours either directing staff to resolution or in some cases reporting to the store to resolve the issue. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills & Abilities: Basic repair skills and knowledge. Knowledge of grocery retail operations. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage shifting needs. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. 2-4 years of retail leadership experience required. Grocery or natural foods experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk the sales floor regularly. Lift up to 40 lbs occasionally. Flexible schedule including some weekends.
