Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients ranging from children to seniors employing both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment approaches focused on both immediate goals and long-range communication or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to foster integrated care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to empower their progress beyond clinical appointments.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and prompt records in adherence to state and federal regulations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to remain informed about the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Fulfillment of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be achieved within 30 days of hire.
