Associate Director of Development, USC Athletics

Associate Director of Development – USC Athletics USC Athletics is looking to hire an Associate Director of Development to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. This role serves as a key member of the annual giving team, supporting external fundraising campaigns and giving initiatives while identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts in support of USC Athletics. Responsibilities Assist with day‑to‑day management of the annual fund and various annual giving campaign efforts. Assist in growing the Trojan Victory Fund through marketing efforts to increase awareness, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and annual renewals. Utilize strategic thinking and creative problem‑solving to discover new annual giving donors and increase philanthropic support. Develop relationships with donors and prospects to solicit and close gifts in support of USC Athletics. Manage fundraising initiatives for multiple sports programs, including discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Maintain a portfolio of 150–200 current and potential donors and conduct 160 substantive contacts annually. Promote an inclusive environment that fosters unbiased opportunities for contributions in alignment with the USC Code of Ethics. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or combined experience/education as acceptable substitute). Minimum five years of direct fundraising experience (preferably in collegiate athletics) and annual giving initiatives. Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and data analysis to improve annual giving initiatives. Strong written and oral communication skills, customer service orientation, and ability to self‑manage and prioritize multiple deadlines. Knowledge of higher education environments and the unique culture and needs of college athletes is preferred. Salary Range The annual base salary for this position ranges from $70,304 to $77,000, based on factors such as scope of duties, experience, education, skills, and market considerations.
