Outside Sales Executive (HVAC)

We're looking for a driven Sales Executive with a hunter mindset to develop new business, build lasting client relationships, and grow our commercial service division. Candidates with experience in HVAC, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or other technical B2B sales environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

Details:

• Pay range: $65,000 to $70,000 base + commission
  • Commission structure will be discussed during the interview
  • Average OTE around $85,000 to $95,000 first year
• Schedule: M-F flexible hours between 7:00am to 5:00pm (must hit 40 hours per week)
• Location : In office in Bloomington, MN
• Type: Direct Hire with full benefits (details below)

Job Duties:

• Serve as the sole Sales Executive in the Service Department, working alongside four peers in Design Build and Plan/Spec sales.
• Prospect and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, door knocking, networking, and site visits.
• Spend approximately 80% of your time in the field meeting with customers and identifying opportunities.
• Re-engage dormant accounts and expand relationships with existing maintenance contract customers.
• Respond to incoming leads and customer inquiries while building long-term partnerships.
• Conduct facility and job site visits to identify service, repair, and preventative maintenance opportunities.
• Prepare proposals, bids, and service agreements tailored to customer needs.
• Collaborate closely with operations and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and professional representative in all client interactions.
• Take ownership of growing the service sales division as the dedicated Service Sales Executive.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience with a strong hunter mentality.
• Demonstrated success in prospecting, business development, and account growth.
• Commercial HVAC industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Candidates from construction, manufacturing, industrial equipment, facility services, building automation, mechanical contracting, distribution, engineering services, or related industries are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• Experience preparing proposals, quotes, or estimates is a plus.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a territory independently.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel locally throughout the Twin Cities.
