Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess mood disorder symptoms, documenting the intensity, frequency, and duration experienced by clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, challenges, and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to enhance clients' coping strategies and emotional resilience.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders and self-care practices, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to evolving needs and circumstances.

• Foster collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and comprehensive support for clients.
\n
• Stay informed about the latest research in the field of mental health, using this knowledge to enhance treatment efficacy and client outcomes.

• Adhere to legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of all therapy sessions.

• Advocate for clients both inside and outside the clinic, addressing mental health risks and advocating for stigma reduction in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support vulnerable populations like the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your role will not only involve individual therapy but may also include facilitating group therapy sessions that provide a safe space for clients to share and heal together.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
