Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive client histories, documenting cases from the initial consultation through to discharge.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform treatment decisions and establish baseline functioning.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on client needs.
\n
• Monitor client progress continuously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in client needs and to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive care.
\n
• Follow up on clients who have been hospitalized, coordinating with treatment providers regarding ongoing care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these issues, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in coping with mental health challenges, providing them with tools and resources for effective management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele comprises individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent (e.g., LMFT, LCSW) in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health counseling services to diverse populations.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to document and track client progress and interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with clients with complex emotional and behavioral issues, including addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and treatment standards.

• Understanding the impact of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical professionals.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on developing effective therapeutic relationships.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy and understanding when interacting with clients and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive healthcare benefits package.
