Assistant Branch Manager

Job Summary The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for coaching, developing and leading branch employees to achieve individual, branch and organizational growth goals while delivering exceptional member service experiences and maintaining operational excellence. Essential Responsibilities Partner with the Branch Vice President to ensure day‑to‑day branch operations, choreography, and implementation result in excellent service experiences for members. Train, encourage, enable, and coach employees in VyStar’s Standards of Excellence, Behaviors of Excellence, the Great 8 Member Service Commitments and the Being Unbelievable philosophy. Develop staff for succession planning within the branch network and within other lines of business. Work closely with Human Resources and Training to ensure recruiting, training curriculum and onboarding are effective and positive for employees. Provide ongoing coaching for direct reports, including performance reviews, skill practice, and career progression discussions. Conduct daily team huddles and weekly sales meetings that include product and service training. Analyze data to determine and implement staffing changes and modifications as needed. Support Credit Union initiatives and campaigns, adhere to regulations, policies and procedures, and perform audits. Engage in community service and volunteer opportunities to promote the VyStar brand. Handle member concerns independently and appropriately escalated more complex issues. Perform duties as assigned, maintain a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness and professionalism. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 3 years in a customer service, sales, community service, military service or other leadership role; 2 years in a lead role within a financial institution preferred.
