As a Medical Billing Specialist on the Revenue Cycle Management team, you'll make sure claims are clean, accurate, and paid , which keeps patient care moving without delays. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit DME/DMEPOS, orthotic, and prosthetic claims for accuracy, completeness, and payer compliance Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits, and secure authorizations and pre-authorizations through insurance carrier portals Review supporting documentation and partner with Health Information Management (HIM) to resolve missing information before claims go out Identify basic denial reasons, resubmit corrected claims, and elevate complex billing or payer issues Answer billing questions from patients, insurance carriers, and internal teams while meeting claim-processing, accuracy, and productivity goals Qualifications Required Previous medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle experience Hands-on experience with insurance eligibility, benefits verification, authorizations, carrier portals, and claim submission, including an understanding of denials and payer requirements Strong computer and data-entry skills, and the ability to work fully onsite in Carlsbad,CA Preferred DME/DMEPOS, orthotics, prosthetics, or similar medical billing experience Knowledge of ICD-10, medical terminology, basic anatomy, and orthopedic diagnoses Benefits: Eastridge Workforce Solutions offers the following benefits, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
