Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Labor Delivery (RN) Unit Information Location: Richmond, VA Floor: 3rd Number of Beds: 24 Number of Staff: 71 General Information The unit operates under the following conditions: Staff Type: Day Shift: Labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator Night Shift: Labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary Patient Ratios: Labor: 1:1 (most of the time) Post-partum: 5-6:1 Nursery: 5-6:1 Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitors Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech, CPN Hiring Profile Must Have: At least 2 years of labor experience. Preferred or Nice to Have: 2 years of labor experience with a history of working in an LDRP with high birth volumes. Typical Procedures Vaginal deliveries C-sections Antepartum patient care Newborn and post-partum care Required Certifications BLS ACLS NRP AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification Dress Code Navy blue scrubs; Maternal Infant Unit nurses have pink badges for infant security.
