Psych Registered Nurse Adult

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psych Registered Nurse Adult to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric nursing care to adult patients in an acute and/or outpatient behavioral health setting. You will perform comprehensive mental health and physical assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and closely monitor patient responses and safety. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and support staff, you will participate in treatment planning, daily milieu management, and discharge planning to support patients’ long-term stability and recovery. You will use evidence-based interventions, de-escalation techniques, and therapeutic communication to manage psychiatric symptoms, behavioral crises, and co-occurring medical conditions, while maintaining a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment. Documentation of assessments, interventions, patient education, and outcomes will be completed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
