Director OF Application Development

Director, Production Services Application Support Location: New York Responsibilities Strengthen incident, problem, change, and escalation management processes to reduce repeat issues, audit findings, control gaps, and operational risk. Build and lead a high‑performing global production services organization, ensuring talent development, clear accountability, effective succession planning, and consistent execution across regions. Drive productivity and service quality gains through automation, observability, process simplification, and proactive identification/remediation of systemic issues. Establish credibility with engineering, business, and operations stakeholders by providing clear governance, transparent communication, and dependable support for business‑critical services. Improve service reliability and platform stability, measured by availability, resiliency, SLA performance, incident reduction, and faster restoration of service for critical platforms. Qualifications Extensive leadership experience in global production services / application support, managing large‑scale, mission‑critical platforms across multiple regions with follow‑the‑sun support models. Proven track record leading incident, problem, and change management functions to improve platform stability and reduce recurring issues. Deep technical and operational expertise in production environments, monitoring, observability, resiliency, automation, infrastructure, middleware, cloud, and application support within complex enterprise ecosystems. Demonstrated ability to lead senior stakeholders and drive strategic service improvements, including operating model transformation, governance, risk and control oversight, workforce planning, and execution against reliability, availability, and service performance objectives. Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, SSSDLC & CICD pipelines, messaging platforms including Kafka and MQ; programming in Java, Python, and other scripting languages. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree beneficial. 12+ years of diverse IT experience, with experience in the securities or financial services industry a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills. Benefits Competitive base salary ($127,000–$200,000 per year, depending on experience and location) plus potential commission, bonuses, and long‑term incentive packages.
