Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care (Medical Surgical) Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty with 1 travel assignment License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty - BLS certification must be from AHA - NIHSS certification required Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for an Acute Care unit in a Medical Surgical setting. The position involves providing care for patients with varying medical needs. The nurse will work a 12-hour day shift and will be required to work every other weekend. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6. Experience with the Meditech EMR system is preferred, but not required. The facility has a total of 44 beds and employs around 40 staff members. Nurse aides are available to assist with patient care on the unit. The unit does have telemetry, but monitoring will occur on a different unit. Floating to all acute care areas and cardiology may be required. General orientation will include one week of training, followed by two days of floor-specific orientation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment. Housing options are available and have been reviewed for safety and cleanliness. Every other holiday may also be a requirement.
