Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments with a focus on the unique challenges that older adults face, including behavioral changes and cognitive decline.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as individual and family therapy, tailored specifically for geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Work collaboratively with a team of geriatric psychiatrists, social workers, and other health care professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, discussing effective treatment options and identifying community resources that can further assist their journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential treatment documentation that meets legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on older adults who may be experiencing a range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to more complex psychiatric conditions associated with aging. The ability to build rapport and trust with this demographic is crucial, as many clients may be navigating various life transitions, including health challenges, loss, and lifestyle changes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, preferably with older adult populations.

• Strong therapeutic knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based practices that effectively address these issues.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a patient-centered approach in therapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range between USD 120,000 and 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
