Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Job Description

This position requires a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide top-notch patient care in the Emergency Room. The RN will work night shifts and is responsible for delivering safe and effective care by utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide and educate patients and families on care processes and procedures.
• Supervise the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining high standards of care.
• Monitor and communicate clinical changes to physicians, including assessment of hemodynamic status and diagnostic results.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or treatment responses.
• Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient information is maintained at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital or critical care setting.
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
• Competence in strip interpretation and titration of drips.
• COVID vaccination and boosters preferred.

Additional Information

The RN may be required to float between Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and telemetry according to department needs. This position offers an opportunity for professional development and hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.
