Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity delivering specialized speech-language pathology services within school settings. This position offers a unique blend of environments, with your week evenly split between two supportive campuses, each with its own distinctive student community. You’ll work closely with students enrolled in life skills programs, contributing significantly to their communication, feeding, and safe eating goals as well as social integration and overall well-being.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly desired
- Proficiency with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems
- Skilled in feeding and swallowing therapy (safe eating) practices
- Comfort working autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, patience, and flexibility to support both high-needs and socially complex student populations
Role Highlights:
- Serve a diverse caseload of approximately 33 students
- Half the week at a campus supporting special education needs, with a focus on life skills and feeding
- Remaining days at a school prioritizing socialization and behavioral support
- Access to in-person collaboration with paraprofessionals, special education teachers, and assistants
- Receive ongoing guidance and virtual/monthly consultation from a seasoned SLP team—collaborative environment with a balance of independence
- No teletherapy responsibilities for this assignment
- Contract runs from August 31, 2026, to June 17, 2027, full-time (40 hours per week)
- Opportunity to impact multiple schools across up to three locations, with finalized sites to be confirmed
