As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to security-related needs. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.07 / Hour Job Schedule: Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support a welcoming environment. Monitor access points and observe visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures, reporting suspicious activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and promptly using required reporting processes. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid armed guard card or license. Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements. Be able to work in a hospital morgue. Be able to restrain individuals when necessary. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
