Job Title Respiratory Care Practitioner – Department of Developmental Services, Porterville Developmental Center Job Summary Under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Supervisor, the Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) assists in the evaluation of pulmonary dysfunction in clients and provides care and treatment for clients with pulmonary disorders by means of respiratory therapy, chest physical therapy, ventilatory assistance, and other therapies in accordance with accepted respiratory care procedures. Responsibilities Assist in evaluation of pulmonary dysfunction in clients. Provide care and treatment for clients with pulmonary disorders through respiratory therapy, chest physical therapy, and ventilatory assistance. Administer prescribed respiratory treatments in accordance with accepted respiratory care procedures. Maintain current California license for Respiratory Care Practitioner and current BLS (CPR) and ACLS certifications. Minimum Requirements Current California license for Respiratory Care Practitioner. Valid BLS (CPR) and ACLS certifications. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and to work extended hours and various shifts. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
