Key Responsibilities: - Implement innovative patient rehabilitation programs designed to enhance mobility, function, and strength. - Maintain a current license as a Physical Therapist in California. - Evaluate and treat patients, utilizing best practices in physical therapy and rehabilitation. - Use Electronic Medical Records to accurately document evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries. - Guide and monitor patient care throughout treatment and follow-up phases. - Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care. - Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure top-quality patient care. - Communicate effectively with co-workers and other offices via multiple channels. - Manage accurate patient chart documentation, including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations. - Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns. - Work closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up. - Demonstrate strong computer skills to fulfill job requirements. - Make independent decisions related to patient care. - Participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed. - Adhere to HIPAA policy and procedures. - Familiarity with PT billing policies and procedures for various payment types. - Proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing services. - Engage in physical mobility tasks, including sitting, walking, and standing for extended hours. - Lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient mobility and transfers. Supervisory Responsibility: - Oversee PT Assistants and Aides in delivering exceptional patient care. Work Environment: - This role is situated in a vibrant outpatient rehabilitation clinic. Physical Demands: - Engage in walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving constantly during working hours. - Ensure resident safety by remaining vigilant and alert. Travel: - No travel required for this position. Required Education and Experience: - Degree in Physical Therapy. Preferred Education and Experience: - Continuing education courses are encouraged. Additional Qualifications: - Must hold an active license or plan to test soon for a Physical Therapist license in California.
