Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced (Armed Rover) Location: Cincinnati, OH Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour Job Schedule Fri – 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including armed response duties when authorized and required by post orders. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document security‑related incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activity in accordance with site procedures. Communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and first responders as needed to report concerns, provide directions, and support security‑related operations at the location. Minimum Requirements Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
