About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Tax Planning and Strategy to lead and execute impactful tax planning initiatives for ultra-high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of comprehensive and strategic financial advice, collaborating with client advisors to provide tailored wealth strategies, and acting as a subject matter expert in individual income tax planning. Key duties include developing and maintaining relationships with external advisors, creating educational materials, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations while optimizing planning strategies. The role also involves contributing to the firm's growth by enhancing the quality and consistency of client services and participating in client meetings to provide senior-level guidance. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a CPA preferred, and at least 6 years of experience in tax planning and wealth management, particularly with ultra-high-net-worth clients. The role requires a strong knowledge of tax planning techniques, the ability to coordinate across multiple advisors, and excellent communication skills to simplify complex topics. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and judgment, as well as experience in relationship building and problem-solving within wealth management contexts. Responsibilities also include supporting client teams with expertise on complex tax and planning matters, reviewing client materials, and developing and delivering training sessions on tax concepts.
