Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

At GEM Transitional Care Center, our mission is to provide compassionate and patient-centered care to our community. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Pasadena, CA. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their physical therapy goals under the guidance of our licensed physical therapists.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients with a variety of medical conditions

• Perform physical therapy treatments, including exercises, stretching, and modalities, as ordered by the physical therapist

• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist

• Maintain accurate patient charts and records

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Provide patient education and instruction on proper techniques and self-care strategies

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant studies or related field

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of California

• Minimum of 0 years of experience in physical therapy or related field

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions

• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as necessary
